Busanga Bush Camp
Kafue, Zambia
Busanga Bush Camp lies on a verdant island in the heart of the Kafue's Busanga Plains, a vast mosaic of grassy seasonal floodplains that extend to the horizon. When the mist rises off the drying floodplains in winter, incredible sunrises and sunsets can be experienced, and the plains teem with wildlife.
The Busanga Plains are famed for their productive prides of lion. Other predators seen here include wild dog and cheetah which are drawn to the prolific plains game. Puku, red lechwe, buffalo and wildebeest are just some of these, while a special treat is the resident herd of roan antelope.
