Phinda Zuka Lodge

Booked either for sole-use or on a room-by-room basis, the intimate Zuka Lodge is sheer, cool Comfort. Everything guests need is right within reach –comfortable library, sitting room with fireplace, swimming pool and four separate bush cottages. The garden lawn ends in a popular watering hole that entices many a four-legged visitor. Guests can choose to join the group in a generous sitting room or indulge in laid-back moments in the private sitting area of their cosy bush cottage. At the end of the day, an oversized bathtub awaits in the middle of a circular stone bath chamber.

Phinda Rock Lodge

Clinging to steep cliffs, the stone and adobe suites of Rock Lodge gaze out onto lush bushveld vegetation. Suspended over the valley below, this cliff-top pueblo is an intimate and romantic refuge. Eagle’s eye views and a feeling of utter seclusion combine with roughly hewn walls and chunky textures. Private plunge pools balance on the edge of a breathtaking precipice, while al fresco showers in the leafy growth give the illusion of bathing in your own waterfall. A roaring fire in the guest areas provides a gathering point for a maximum of just twelve guests.

Phinda Forest Lodge

Secluded deep in rare sand forest, the glass walls of Forest Lodge offer sweeping views of this unique ecosystem. Cradled in a maze of ancient vegetation, each contemporary Zulu Zen suite provides a tranquil space from which to watch the secrets of the forest unfold. In spite of the floor to ceiling glass, the towering torchwood trees and fertile forest floor create a sense of seclusion. Tiny suni and red duiker graze among the vines, and a short walk to the rim flow swimming pool could easily become a close encounter with a graceful nyala or agile impala.
