The wonderfully rich habitat of savannah country, seasonal floodplains and permanent waterways supports varied and diverse wildlife, including everything from sitatunga antelope, buffalo, big cats, wild dogs and phenomenal birdlife.

Mapula has canvas and thatch cottages, widely spaced and hidden under shady trees.

There is no Wifi in camp.

We can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in camp.

Mapula Lodge becomes water-locked during high water season (around 2 months) and the only mode of transport from the lodge to the safari vehicles is via boat transfer.
Mapula Lodge is open all year round with excellent game viewing. Water levels are highest in April to October for exploring on mokoros and boats. At other times of year, water activities may be restricted.

We are renowned for menus that are fresh and original. Meals are plated, not buffet style. Please inform reservations of any dietary requirements prior to travel.
