Given the vastness of the landscape, the interiors at Tuludi needed to be bold and make a real
statement. As a result, large pieces of striking, handcrafted furniture, designed and developed
by interior designer Tracy Kelly, are dotted throughout the rooms and the main areas.
Oversized swing chairs on the bedroom verandas allow guests to relax and enjoy the views,
whilst the main bar, designed by artist award winning artist Sarah Pryke of Fragments of Africa, is one of the biggest talking points in the camp. Curved and delicately tiled with
hundreds of coloured pieces, it tells a whimsical visual story of the reserve from the flora to
the big cats to the bird life. The royal blue of the malachite kingfisher, the vibrant green of
the grasses and fiery flashes of red and yellow are prominent in the mosaic and also weaved
throughout the rest of the lodge in the cushions, the curtains and the fabrics. At the library,
subtle, masculine colours were used to create a quiet space, hidden away amongst the
treetops.
