All about The Jackal & Hide

The Jackal & Hide is located in the Khwai Private Reserve, a 200,000-hectare area of pristine wilderness in the Greater Okavango. The reserve is bordered by Moremi to the south, Savuti to the north and the Khwai Community Reserve to the east – in other words, in the middle of some of the most famous and iconic game-viewing areas on the continent!

  1. Air Travel Direct Flights

    Fly to Maun (direct flights are available from Cape Town and Johannesburg) and switch to a light aircraft to fly to our airstrip in the Khwai Private Reserve.

Accomodation

The Jackal & Hide has twin/double rooms, all of which are tented and raised on wooden platforms to maximise the views across the grasslands. Each also has a ceiling fan and ensuite bathroom with indoor shower and a private veranda.

Our wonderful chefs have a reputation for their hearty, wholesome meals. Please let us know of any dietary requirements before arrival.

What else do I need to know?

We welcome children aged 6 years and older.

There is no Wifi or phone signal in camp.

Charging facilities available in the rooms and at the main area.

We can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests in camp.

Please consult your doctor for recommend vaccinations.

What is a good time to go?

The Jackal & Hide is open year-round with excellent game viewing throughout the seasons. Water levels are highest in April to October for exploring on mokoros and boats. At other times of year, water activities may be restricted.

Green season: November – March
